Why would Alpha Phi COB?? Have they list girls or have low numbers? They're a very solid house. That just seems odd but encouraging for girls who want another shot at becoming Greek.

I would love to join a sorority. When will they announce what sororities will COB and what is the process?

Alpha Phi has always COBed in the past. So have Sigma, Phi Mu, Zeta, and AXO. But it's hard to say whether many houses will be COBing this year, esp. with Sigma Kappa...
I would say focus on Sigma, Phi Mu, and SK as these are the most likely to be COBing this year. Around mid September to early October, email their recruitment chairs asking if they're holding any COB events and if you can come.
However, like the person a few below me said it's pretty desperate and pathetic for girls who dropped bc of those houses to come crawling back practically begging for a bid. Just saying.

I have close friends in Sigma as well as APhi. Sigma has more than 55. I don't know who started that rumor, but it's false. Did they hit quota? I don't know. If they didn't it's their first time not hitting it, while other houses haven't met quota in the past either. So its happened to houses before and it probably will again. Too many girls dropped, that is the problem. As for APhi, they haven't really COB'd in years. They might grab a few friends of friends in the new pc but that's all. If, and I stress IF, Sigma is under quota and girls who dropped rush are regretting that decision which I understand your regrets, being greek is huge here- then contact Sigma ASAP. Or talk to one of your new friends in your dorm who is a Sigma, maybe she can hook you up. Cob-ing will be very limited this year. PHA will want to save girls for Sigma Kappa (wasn't Julie D a Sigma Kappa???) So I would suggest if you want to get into an existing house act now. I wouldn't sit and wait.

"i thought the freshman pledge class for Tri-sig was really hot but i did notice the low numbers. I heard they were in the high 60's for their pledge class but who knows. they should be worried about sigma kappa coming in, hopefully it doesn't hurt them. overall, better pledge class by appearance, but worse by numbers... who knows. which would you rather have if it were your chapter? quality or quantity? i mean if you had to choose?

tiers won't be determined until after this semester taking into account rush, HC and retention rate. but as it is for now:

top: pi phi, delta, chi o, kappa

mid: adpi, theta, gphi, dg

bottom: aphi, zeta, axo, phi mu, sigma

forgot KD, everyone forgets this house... especially after this rush, fell to bottom three right above phi mu

Top: Tri Delt, Pi Phi, G Phi, DG

Mid: Chi O, Kappa, ADPi, Theta, A Phi

Bottom: Zeta, AXO, KD, Sigma, Phi Mu

If you're basing it on looks being improved with each new pledge class then it should be---

Top- DDD, GPhi, PiPhi, Chi O, DG

Mid- Kappa, ADPi, Theta, Zeta, APhi

Bottom- AXO, Sigma, KD, PhiMu, Sigma Kappa
