Even the top house only has an Overall Rating of 64%, proving this site is mostly used by catty girls. Pm's should know that this isn't a real representation of Mizzou Greek life. I could name multiple great things about every chapter, even the lowest ranked house on this website. I have good friends in many different houses and they are all strong, amazing women.

Here is some advice to give to your daughter: Careful how you rank the houses after the first round. She may be in love with Pi Phi/Chi O/Theta, or other "sought after" houses, but if she happens to get an invite back after first round (particularly if a legacy), chances are there is a good chance her grades will catch up to her. Tell her to look at ALL the houses with an open mind and honestly look at some of the lower-profile (...I hate saying "lower tier") houses more closely when she does her rankings.

It really comes down to how well she clicks with the girls, and if she has good activities/test scores. I know a girl who only had a 3.0 GPA, but got into Theta (which has the highest grade cuts at around 3.6 i think). But keep in mind this girl was a legacy and was a BIG exception. It can happen though.

It's also important to say that the hazing WAS an issue, and DG got in a lot of trouble and had to deal with it with nationals. But that should not for any reason keep a girl from pledging now, since the chapter is moving forward. Sorry for the goody-good vibe, I'm part of Panhellenic and can't in good faith let anyone discourage going a certain house. Panlove to all!

If I had a younger sister/friend/relative going through recruitment, I would warn them about the house's past scandals, and tell them to think extra long and hard about whether it was what they absolutely wanted. Maybe this year will be the year that they start to shape up, but until they do I think PNMs should just think hard about it and be careful. I know nice girls in DG, yeah, but the house definitely has a past and I think it's something PNMs should take into consideration until the house starts to show signs of improvement (which they haven't yet)

How hard is it to get a bid to a house if you know noone in that house that can pull for you. I have heard that there are so many girls and then you have legacies and then you have the girls with their best friends going through in which they are getting pulled for. I basically heard that someone in the house has to be pulling for you. Is this true?
