By the way I have plenty of good friends in Theta, I'm not trying to bash the whole house. But obviously a few of them are getting pretty catty on this website so the people they attack get mad, it happens.

Every house has a reputation, some good and some bad. Honestly though look at every house fresh. There are many houses that are extremely similar as well! Each house attracts different kinds of girls for different reasons. Personally, I preffed a "low house" if you look at this website above two top and mid tier houses.. And I LOVE it. It depends who you can see yourself walking down stairs with no make up and your hair up and feel completely comfortable with. They are your sisters and your future bridesmaids. Choose a house that you love and disregard any bashing on this site because girls are just catty and probably hate one person in a house haha. Greek love :)

I think GL3 makes a lot of good points. Honestly, Mizzou's sororities have a lot in common, much more so than the comments on this website would have you believe. Our chapters are so large now (for better or for worse) that no matter where you end up, you will find a group of girls within your chapter that you absolutely love. I hope PM's are getting excited about recruitment - we're so excited to meet all of you!!!

Ladies, every chapter has their strengths and every chapter has great ladies!! Please don't let the comments on this page discourage you from joining the chapter YOU want to join!

My daughter is going through rush and only has a 3.0. Will she most likely be cut from most houses based on her gpa? i want to kind of prepare her. I have heard that this rush is going to be huge and I am concerned.

It depends on how well she excelled in other categories. And also not all houses will drop at 3.0

Even the top house only has an Overall Rating of 64%, proving this site is mostly used by catty girls. Pm's should know that this isn't a real representation of Mizzou Greek life. I could name multiple great things about every chapter, even the lowest ranked house on this website. I have good friends in many different houses and they are all strong, amazing women.

Here is some advice to give to your daughter: Careful how you rank the houses after the first round. She may be in love with Pi Phi/Chi O/Theta, or other "sought after" houses, but if she happens to get an invite back after first round (particularly if a legacy), chances are there is a good chance her grades will catch up to her. Tell her to look at ALL the houses with an open mind and honestly look at some of the lower-profile (...I hate saying "lower tier") houses more closely when she does her rankings.

It really comes down to how well she clicks with the girls, and if she has good activities/test scores. I know a girl who only had a 3.0 GPA, but got into Theta (which has the highest grade cuts at around 3.6 i think). But keep in mind this girl was a legacy and was a BIG exception. It can happen though.

My legacy daughter is going through recruitment in the summer, and I know she wants to go DG just like me, her aunts, and her grandmother. But I heard that they haze so bad they were kicked out of Greek Week! Do all houses at Mizzou haze?
