sorority comments

I had bad grades in highschool mostly out of slacking, I get good grades when I try but now I'm worried for rush. I have 2.58, do I not have a chance at getting into a sorority now?

Honestly don't expect much in recruitment. Even houses that don't focus much on grades have grade cuts much higher that 2.58

What about if I had a 3.3 weighted ? Should I not bother?

So with a 2.6 I shouldn't even rush??

Rush as long as you have above a 2.5!!! As long as you want to rush you should rush!!! Good luck finding your home!! The minimum gpa to be Greek is a 2.5

I say - Go for it no matter what. You might get girls who will fight for you, see past the GPA and see other potential contributing factors you could bring to their house. Also you'll meet a ton of people during recruitment week which is a great start to college and if you don't get a chapter then you can focus on your fist semester grades and COB a house second semester. But I would NEVER rule anything out or just not do it based on what a few girls on a website tell you.

Top houses: sigma, zeta, phi mu

Bottom houses: chi o, delta, pi phi

No one really cares if you're in the middle, they all just bicker where they rank. Just as long as you don't join the worst three houses on campus, it's social suicide!

Sigma Kappa may be an option for some, but being new on campus comes with a lot of razzing which could be hard to tolerate.

Id join any other sorority other than those three, and find friends/sisters and have a great college experience.

Bottom three houses are easily sigma zeta and phi mu, whoever said they were top are just messing with pnms!
These houses are bottom bc they constantly struggle with retention, grades, and involvement.
Zeta however is starting to prove otherwise, I bet they'll be out of bottom three next year if their grades improve. Sk will take their place. But yeah, I'd have to say this is pretty accurate, all the other houses on campus make quota, and have higher grades, an involvement. As far as attractiveness goes I would say zeta is far ranked above houses above them, but with all the other factors they're still bottom three. Hopefully not for long though! This house has come a long way!

Agreed. But remember that you should be thankful and lucky to even get in our bottom three chapters! More than 500 girls will be cut from rush completely! I rather be a sigma, zeta or phi mu over a bid less gdi!
