pretty sororities

Why in the world would a woman choose a sorority simply because they are pretty? This eludes me. I understand that guys care a lot about how women look, but I have never, ever in my life chosen a friend simply on looks. Or how well they party, either, for that matter. What am I doing wrong? LOL

Here's the thing OP. While you may think of yourself as a pretty party girl, once you get to Mizzou they are a dime a dozen. You might want to do some self reflection and come up with something more to offer. If you really want to be in a top house you had better be a lot more then a "pretty party girl". But then again if that's all you really are, there are plenty of mid and low tier houses that look for that type.

OP; If your name was on this post, there are a bunch of houses that wouldn't want you during rush. Just something to consider if this is what you really care about.

I am a member of what most people consider a top house. I can't think of ONE person in my pledge class, or my entire sorority, that I would describe as a "pretty party girl." At every chapter meeting I am surrounded by National Merit Scholars, AP Scholars, women who went to state in their sport and placed, women who have won roles in major dramatic productions, women who won essay competitions, women who have performed (singing) in national touring companies and on and on. They are all pretty and many have been known to party, but to describe them that way is shallow and superficial. I hope the OP gets what she wants, but I doubt she will because most women who wind up pledging any house have so much more to offer.
