Since they have girls graduate in December or study abroad this semester? Stop acting like COBing is so taboo for decent houses to do.

Every house has girls study abroad second semester. Every house has girls graduate at the semester break. But they don't COB. Most houses COB because they lose more people than they expect to lose because the girls drop or don't think it's worth it to stay a member. That's why the true top tier houses don't COB. Also, houses will COB to beef up their numbers if they are in financial trouble. I don't know why DG is COBing, but it's not a good sign.

I COB'd ADPi two years ago and it was a GREAT experience. There's NOTHING wrong w/COB!!! Some houses DO have more Srs. that graduate OR people accepted into an academic program they feel is too overwhelming to juggle w/Greek Life OR they have a big house to fill. For example, Pi Phi is tiny - some of their members NEVER get to live in the house. I have two high school friends who COB'd DG before break. Many times it's quiet because there's a misconception about it. I'M HERE TO SAY IT'S NOT A BAD THING!!

Okay there's no way that's true, theres a COB process and they're doing it all right now they definitely would not have taken people before break..

DG takes a girl with less than a 3.0 high school GPA who is struggling and may have to go back to a community college next year, but, hey, she was cute? And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why DG is struggling and has to COB.

^ exactly. My bottom-tier house wouldn't take her had she shown interest because of grades. Period.

Uh I'm sure your "roommate" loves having every detail about her making it obvious who she would be, therefore who you are, posted on here. Which is why I'm calling BS.

I was trying to assist good girls who fear the stigma of COB'ing. I'm 20, COB'd ADPi two years ago and proud of it! I have no idea (nor do I care!) what the hell DG is doing this year. I'm in an apartment with two other ADPis and could give a flying Fu$k what DG does. They are desperate and will obviously take anyone. I don't live with the pretty, yet very dense, new DG!
