Can we just put any and all questions about spring rush/COB on this thread so we don't have girls posting constantly asking, "what's the chance of so and so COBing?" comment if you know of houses doing COB...

Do any houses COB after Homecoming when some girls drop out? Or do most wait until Spring?

How good do your grades have to be when you are COB'ing and I know they look for activities but all I have is a job here at Mizzou would that be enough?

I would say you shouldn't have under a 3.0 and as for activities you might want to get involve a little bit in something else! Espeacially because the houses have so few spots open you really should try your hardest to stand out. Good luck!

Thank you! Does anyone have any suggestions of things you can get involved in here? I've looked and I just don't know where to start

Does zeta always COB?

Yes. They typically lose a lot of girls after 1st semester. Last year they had to cob 20 girls to fill their house which was more than any other house on campus (besides sk bc they're new)
Zeta has some not so secret sisterhood and loyalty issues that tend to drive a lot of their strong members out of Greek life. Sad but true.

When should you contact houses about spring COB?

Yea I was wondering the same thing! Would now be too early to contact them? Or when's the best time for them to remember us?

And what is the best thing to do if you loved a house going through formal rush but you don't know a single person in that house? Is there a chance you would get invited if you don't know anyone but just contact them?

PHA just passed a new bylaw where COB will be more organized. Girls who are interested must register in an online system before they get a bid and chapters will have to inform PHA that they are COBing so everyone has equal access to the knowledge of both girls and chapters who are going through the process.

Will that be in effect for next semester? There's nothing about it on their website that I could find
