Well first, GET YOUR GPA UP AS HIGH AS POSSIBLE WHILE YOU STILL CAN. If you want to have a successful rush that is one of the most essential things, especially since rush here is getting larger and larger we have started to be more strict about grades. And get involved in your high school while you still can, you will probably be asked over and over again what you did in high school during rush. Finally, just relax and trust the system. As long as you have good grades and decent involvement I promise you will find your home here at mizzou!

That's a bunch of crap. It's who you know!! And that can help or hurt you. Grades may matter to one house. And when they say "trust the system" that means you will get into one of two houses you will have left at the end of the week that don't cut anyone!! And just like everyone else you won't join them either. Simply put you have about a 50% chance of getting in one, there just aren't enough houses on the campus to meet the demand.

It's NOT about who you know. If it was, there would be no out-of-state girls in top houses and we all know the top houses have a greater share of out-of-state girls. So, nice try BS. And if it were true that there aren't enough houses on campus to meet the demand, every house would make quota.

Are you that dumb? It's simple math, how many girls rushed? How many girls dropped out? There are 2 houses that didn't meet quota? It's not because there were not enough girls to fill those spots, it's because nobody wanted those houses!! Get real

It very well may be that it's who you know even if your grades suck if you want a particular house. If you rush and are gorgeous but don't have a 3.5 and don't ask anyone to help you, you'll wind up with the mid houses. If you're not gorgeous, you'll wind up with the ones no one wants. But this doesn't mean the top houses don't suck and you won't feel comfortable in them in the first place. Not everyone wants to be in those houses to begin with. They aren't cool to a lot of recruits. It depends where you come from and if you're a rah rah type which is a turn off to cool girls.

I'm convinced you don't know what you're talking about. First of all, most of the top houses aren't rah rah anyway, and at least two of the top three or four are pretty chill with a distinctive vibe. Second, if you dare ask an active during rush to help you out, and if she communicates with you, that is a major faux pas and there are strict rules against it. Third, if the top houses sucked they wouldn't be top houses. And, finally, if getting into a good houses depended on where you were from they likely wouldn't take any out of state girls and we all know the best houses have plenty of out of state girls.

If you really want to be greek, don't drop out of recruitment. The girls that drop apparently don't want to be greek more than they think they want a specific house. If you keep an open mind, have decent grades, involvement and aren't grooming impaired, you can find a home. If you drop out, it's because you made the decision NOT to be greek. Girls that drop out aren't considered as not getting a house, they aren't considered at all. Being greek isn't always about being in a "top" house. In reality, that means absolutely nothing. It's about sisterhood. Be a girl that wants to help a house, not the one who thinks she is too good for a house, because NO ONE WANTS that girl.

Exactly, and this goes both ways. Some of these so called top houses aren't what a lot of us want or feel comfortable in. I wish they understood that. We don't consider them tops in our minds. But we love the houses some say on here no one wants or puts first. Not true.
