panhellenic means all greek
by: Panhellenic MommaWow! I just watched my daughter go through recruitment at Mizzou! Congrats to all of you and your Panhellenic for managing and excelling at the second largest Recruitment in the US. My daughter had a fabulous experience and pledged a great house. It was not mine...but that's okay because I was on a different campus 30 years ago...she got to make her own choices. The one thing I find disconcerting about your Greek system is the cattiness and the digs you make at each other. Panhellenic means "All Greek"...I was our PHA President and had friends in all the houses. My college mentor was in a different house than mine and was PHA president before me. We are in touch to this day! Apparently our Greek system was much stronger than yours since we didn't need to tear each other down, and rank each other's pledges. Greek Life is AWESOME and I'm so glad my daughter is going to find lifelong friends in her sisters. I did. Look for the best in each other and celebrate you have so many great houses! Sure recruitment is competitive but I'd challenge each of you to focus on building your system up instead of tearing each other down. Her "Greek" Daddy and i are grateful she is at Mizzou and a part of something bigger than a special interest club. With kind thoughts and regards from a Panhellenic Momma...once a Panhellenic President, always a Panhellenic President!

Time for you to get a life of your own, Momma. Trust me, your daughter will appreciate it. No one wants to hear the rambling of someone who 1) didn't go to school here 2) graduated decades ago and 3) should have better things to do with her time than tell us how to live or what to believe. No. One. Cares.
#3by: Totally Agree
Let the OP say how she feels and be mature enough to respond in an adult like manner without using profanities and a rude tone. Getting your point across in a mature, responsible lady-like manner is something we all should be able to do at this point in our lives!!!

News flash: anyone can read this website. I've been reading it for 7 years. I get PAID to be current, and I'm a 57 year old woman. I'm also a current and alum parent. Being "current" is my job, I get paid to know the 18-25 year old market.
I had a daughter graduate from Mizzou, and one still there. Sometimes, I know things before they do because of this site. I read TFM, TSM, etc. I'm on twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Reddit, etc.
What's my point? The OP probably a is mom, not some random drunk girl jerking your chains. Did you think you were "alone"?
You're not just speaking to other sorority women.
Others are watching.

No matter so many people on this website are out of touch with what's actually happening in our greek community. We have 57 year old women, mothers, alumni and all sorts of craziness up in here. How can you stay "current" when you're not even in the system we're talking about? You have no clue what's happening here.

Ok, here is another mom. I am reading this site to figure out what my daughter will be getting into at MU in Greeklife. I am not impressed at all. To all the young college girls with comments, save them. I won't be looking here again. I have tried to keep an open mind about sororities but this site lives up to my already low opinion.

Honestly, that's just rude. If you don't like her opinion, keep yours to yourself.
