phi mu and tri sig
by: okayToday I only got called back to Phi Mu and Tri Sig and I know people don't really favor them but after going through this process I realize that they're the only genuine girls on this campus. People don't like them because they're open minded and care more about the person than looks. I was deeply disappointed getting cut from other houses, especially since I felt great connections with DG and Pi Phi and KD and Sigma Kappa, but they all cut me which was disappointing and along with every other girl going through rush right now, I realize I do not trust this system or process. But I ended up suiciding Phi Mu because I felt a connection with them, not Tri Sig at all and that's why I didn't bother putting Tri Sig. Did I make the right choice?
#1by: no!
I am afraid not. You would absolutely found many connections from any sorority and i am afraid if you do not get the Phi Mu bid you will miss out on the wonderful opportunity to be greek at Mizzou. I guarantee you that you would have found many connections in Tri Sigma. They are a nice group of girls who are improving each year. It is very hard to get established on this campus and the newer chapters are the ones that are less popular. I hope it works out for you so you dont miss the wonderful experience of being Greek!
#3by: I get it
You are upset and things didn't go your way. It's only natural to lash out at the houses that disappointed you. I think you could have found a niche in either Phi Mu or Tri Sig, but if you felt strongly about PhiMu then you did the right thing FOR YOU. That's the thing: there are no wrong choices and there's not just one way of doing things. You're in college now and you are learning to think for yourself. You are many steps beyond those girls who are letting others do the thinking for them. Best of luck to you and I hope you wind up a Phi Mu. Greektown needs more independent thinkers. Keep your head high and keep trusting yourself.
