Whatever you do, don't drop and don't suicide. Rank your last houses in order of preference and give bid day a shot. I'll be super honest and say I got my last house choice out of my three, all top tier but I still cried my eyes out. I thought I was too smart and too classy to be in the house I'm in now but now I couldn't see myself anywhere else.
Pledging my house on faith gave me my bridesmaids and I met my now fiancé through a greek week pairing we had. You have no clue what you might be throwing away by thinking you're too good to join a certain house. I know it's hard to trust the system when you feel like all your options are slipping away but it's so important to listen to us.

And yet you aren't very smart or classy when you say insulting things about top tier houses, knowing full well there are hundreds of women who would like to be in your position. Let's add insensitive to the list. And boastful. And, oh gosh, let's through in overly dramatic. There are girls reading this who have no top tier choices let, and no mid-tier choices. And they are supposed to take advice from you????? My advice for them is to consider the source. If top tier members are as out of touch as the original poster, I think bottom tier looks pretty darn good.

The original poster said all top tier to highlight the fact that even though the top tier is considered "the best" you can still end up in a house that you might not have liked. People associate getting a house you hate with the bottom tier and I think she was just highlighting that.

"She," or as I like to call her, "you," showed extreme insensitivity toward girls who are going through a legitimately tough time. To have three top tier choices on the last day and crying your eyes out because you got #3 isn't much consolation for girls who may not have many choices at all. Why don't you go back to your perfect little insular world where the biggest problem you have is deciding the next thing that you're too good for.
