We did this awhile back and it was really interesting! Let's do it again to show the PNMs that every house is diverse and all go for the same, awesome girls! What chapters did you go to on Preference Day?

My three were ADPi, Kappa, KD. I wound up in my first choice (ADPi) and it is the perfect house for me. What I think this thread shows is that most people have a mix of houses on their last day and someone who winds up in an upper level house is also considering houses at other levels on the last day. It is rare that someone has all top or all bottom choices. I also think that is shows that the system works and that most people wind up in a house that is the best for them. Does that mean they are adaptable and would make the best of wherever they land? Maybe. Or maybe it means that they just land in the best place. Whatever. Trust the system because it has been in place for a long time and has a rich history of success.

I preffed Aphi, Tri Delt and KD. Suicided Aphi (which was really stupid, as I would have been happy in any of the houses) because it really felt like home to me and at that moment, I was all "If I can't be an Alpha Phi, I'd rather not be Greek". Now, I am SO happy where I am and it is where I'm supposed to be, but suidiciding was a really REALLY dumb thing to do... EACH house is amazing!

My top three (in order) were GPhi, Kappa & APhi. I ended up getting Kappa and am very happy. I have to admit (like many other girls, I was a bit surprised when I didn't see my 1st choice on the bid card) BUT: 1) you cannot take it personally 2)as it has been said many times, ANY house at MU is an honor! 3) the system works - you end up where you are meant to be 4) my best friends are now GPhis & APhis and we all went on Spring Break together!!! It's all about being GREEK AT MU!

Went to Gphi, APhi and Kappa on the last day. Preffed them in that order and wound up a Kappa. I was heartbroken -- for about 5 minutes. Then when I looked around, met the others in my pledge class and realized I would be living in that beautiful house, I got over it quickly. I really couldn't be happier. There is someone on this website who always talks about how Kappa is made up of people who preffed other houses and that might be true, but it doesn't mean we aren't happy and proud of where we are.

I appreciate the honesty and heartfelt statements on this post. It proves that we are all friends (with the sad exception of maybe 15 girls who post awful things on this site) and that MU has an amazing Greek system. In the end, I truly believe that being in any MU sorority is far better than not being in one at all. :)

I too, am from out of state (my Dad played football at MU in the early '90s so I grew up on Mizzou football & basketball!) :) Anyway, I did my best to avoid the dorm gossip during recruitment (which I would advise ALL PNMs to do!) and followed my heart. My top three were GPhi, Delta & ChiO. I'm now a GPhi & LOVE IT! But I also spent a lot of my summer with Deltas, ChiOs and Pi Phis. Mizzou has an amazing Greek System and I'm SO happy I took a chance at attending a university where I knew no one.
