by: MizzzzPNM's: there are almost 2,000 of you. Most sororities have pledge classes around 90 ish. This post is not to be discouraging (Greek life at mizzou is huge and awesome) but I just think that PNM's should consider that just about every sorority member you will talk to is there because she has some sort of social capital to offer the chapter (ex: great grades, leadership experience, involvement, great personality ect). So just consider that to be recruited to ANY house whether they will be your first pick or not is an awesome opportunity.

I wanted to be Greek by any means. Rush was hard and it was disappointing because I had the grades, activities, looks etc but got cut heavily because I really am kind of a Nerd (and I know it and take ownership of it!). I am in a so-called "bottom tier" house but I love my sisterhood and the opportunity for leadership in my house. I am not embarrassed to wear my letters but I know some people are only concerned with the perception of others which is their loss!
