tattoos: covered up or not?

by:

I have a small tattoo (1 inch x 1 inch) on my inner forearm, just below the crook of my elbow. It isn't vulgar or suggestive and holds very deep meaning for me and my culture. Should I cover it up with make up like I normally do for job interviews and church, or leave it as it is as a conversation topic during sorority recruitment?

I would defiantly cover it up. You'll find other things to talk about.

i really really dont think it matters unless you want to end up in a house who will judge you. if it were my i might not even notice if its that small. it is august, do you really expect the girl to wear a sweater? it would be even weird i think if you had to cover it with make up and it partly came off. i dont have a tattoo- i'll never get one. but i have friends who do and think they are pretty damn awesome so lets not judge here folks

"A house that will judge you"??? Isn't that what rush is all about? Judging? And if someone doesn't want to be judged, rush isn't the place for her.

Cover it up. While I might not have a problem with it, most people in my house would jut think it's tacky. And if it becomes a conversation piece, the last thing you want to be known as is "the Tattoo Girl."

You're right. I don't want my tattoo to define me because it doesn't. I think I can bring a lot to a chapter with my high school involvement, hobbies, and personality and don't want my tattoo to distract from that during recruitment.

Maybe cover it up for ice water, but if you feel comfortable enough in a later round to talk about, keep it showing so you'll have a way to get to open up to the girls.

The other girl who was asking was starting a full sleeve tattoo. A tiny tattoo on the crook of your arm is no big deal. My advice is to cover it only because people like "OMG" will judge you for it. Reveal the tattoo after you rush, no big deal.

do you really want to be in a house that isn't going to accept you for who you are?
