I only have recs to a few houses. Will I do ok if I have great activities but only a 3.4?

I was told that the top tier houses won't even look at me without at least a 3.7 and a rec to that house.

thats completely false. im in a top house and i didnt have a rec for any houses, including the house that im in. i had a lot of activities and a 4.0 so maybe thats what made up for not knowing a single person in the house and not having a rec but that is DEFINITELY not true! please dont let dumb rumors like that scare you from the top tier, if you click with us, we will invite you back :) good luck!

You'll be fine. I had a 3.4 and one sport plus volunteering and I ended up in a "top tier" house. I only got cut by two houses which I didn't get along with anyway!

Don't worry. There are a lot of girls in top houses that had bad gpas, no rec letters, etc. they probably knew someone in the house or had an out of this world personality
