I am an ADPi legacy and I just assumed that's where I would wind up. Maybe because of that assumption I didn't bring my A game. I was cut before the last day and was devastated and considered dropping. I'm glad I didn't because I wound up pledging Kappa and I love my house. In the year since I have had many conversations with girls who I consider to be outstanding (other Kappas, Deltas, GPhis), all of whom were cut by ADPi. I think ADPi looks for a certain type of girl and has really strict standards. They have a great sisterhood and there have been times I wish I was part of it, but things worked out for the best.

Maybe they're trying to get a bunch of different girls, because you can't stereotype them. Some are beautiful, some not so much. I think they're all smart, though. Some party, some don't. They have a bunch of girls who are very involved on campus too. I think they're under the radar. Solidly top of the middle tier, and probably happy to be there.

There are a handful of houses in Greektown that have a certain quality about them that is hard to categorize. I would say it involves an air of self-confidence. Rather than following the crowd, wearing what everyone else wears, obsessing about designer handbags and shoes and doing anything just to be accepted, these girls follow some sort of internal guide and are true individualists. I think ADPi is in this category, as are Theta, PiPhi, ChiO and maybe AXO. They aren't wannabes, but are he real deal. Does anyone else get what I'm talking about?

I get it. They don't all hang around the same frats either. Never going to be the top house because of their quirks, but they're never gonna lose their reputation as a solid house. Probably why it's a hard house to get into. I'd have been happy there.

I would agree with putting ADPi PiPhi and Theta on this list. Not so much ChiO, though. In the past few years they seem to have gone a bit generic. It's a good sisterhood, but slipping a bit. And let's not talk about that house, which is SO overdone and not pretty at all.

ADPi is known for taking well-rounded girls who aren't exactly beauty queens. They seem to be more accepting than other houses when it comes to size/weight & looks especially if you have good grades.
