I've heard ChiO is ridiculously expensive (even though they try to tell everyone that Alumni paid for the entire new house.) Even if that is true, it is very expensive to keep up a new house with state of the art everything. (upgraded AC & heating systems, etc.) It's a shame because most people (including many alumni) think it's an eyesore!

Chi O & Kappa are the most expensive by a long shot. Zeta & Delta were the cheapest but Delta is building a much needed new building so their dues are likely to increase by a lot.

I would encourage EVERY PNM regardless of financial situation, to be VERY mindful of the costs of every sorority as they can vary DRAMATICALLY! Regardless if you are paying for it or your parents or grandparents are, I think everyone would be shocked to see the disparity re: annual costs/dues. It can truly vary by thousands. If you feel uncomfortable asking members of the house, talk to you Pi Chi or contact Panhellenic. They should be more uniform (i.e., the cost) but they are NOT!

I get KD having low dues, I mean, look at the house (no offense). But zeta? I would assume their dues would be a lot higher since they have trouble filling spots in their house. Then again, they haven't renovated anything in a long time so maybe they're jus stable financially? Interesting. Gphi and delta also had low dues. Pi phi, kappa, and sigma are all on the higher end. I had to drop pi phi after I found that out since I pay my own dues. Loved that house though!

Where can I find the numbers for each house regarding the dues?

They don't put exact numbers on any chapter. there is a range. Bottom line... joining a sorority is expensive, but is totally worth it is if is something that you think you would enjoy. I don't think the dues vary DRASTICALLY, I mean, expensive is expensive.
It IS cheaper, for the most part, to live in the house than it is to live in the dorms OR to rent an apartment (and have to pay for parking, utilities, rent, food, out of house dues, etc.).
If money is a major concern to the point that you would choose a certain sorority over another based solely on that, it is very likely that the fees of being Greek would be too much for you to join.
Not trying to be mean, just being honest. Money isn't a reason to choose one house over another.

that's not true. I dropped a few houses i liked because of the extraordinary dues. However, I can pay my sorority's dues without a problem (well, my parents).
