sorority dues

I've heard ChiO is ridiculously expensive (even though they try to tell everyone that Alumni paid for the entire new house.) Even if that is true, it is very expensive to keep up a new house with state of the art everything. (upgraded AC & heating systems, etc.) It's a shame because most people (including many alumni) think it's an eyesore!

They don't put exact numbers on any chapter. there is a range. Bottom line... joining a sorority is expensive, but is totally worth it is if is something that you think you would enjoy. I don't think the dues vary DRASTICALLY, I mean, expensive is expensive.
It IS cheaper, for the most part, to live in the house than it is to live in the dorms OR to rent an apartment (and have to pay for parking, utilities, rent, food, out of house dues, etc.).
If money is a major concern to the point that you would choose a certain sorority over another based solely on that, it is very likely that the fees of being Greek would be too much for you to join.
Not trying to be mean, just being honest. Money isn't a reason to choose one house over another.

Chi O & Kappa are the most expensive by a long shot. Zeta & Delta were the cheapest but Delta is building a much needed new building so their dues are likely to increase by a lot.
