by: poor pnmim going through recruitment in the fall and i am paying for everything myself. I was wondering which houses if any are too country clubby or designer wearing because im not going to have anything that screams wealthy during recruitment. i am hoping that it doesnt hurt my chances

Every house has rich girls. What you should be asking is how much house dues are, bc there are some houses that are much higher than others. For instance, sigma is really expensive bc of their new house. Chi o just rebuilt their house so I'm assuming their dues are high as well.

This happened maybe one time to maybe one person...and the girl who asked was probably in trouble... Stop acting like they do it to every girl. Stop acting like they sit down during work week and say "ok ladies don't forget to ask the girls what their parents do." That question can get them in serious trouble with PHA. And I highly doubt they're looking for more trouble with PHA.
So in other words, stop repeating some rumor you keep seeing on Greek rank just to put your two cents in on potential drama. DG is no "snobbier" than anyone else. In fact, id say kappa, tri delt or chi o are snobbier.

Then You should probably report that to PHA. If it didn't really happen stop acting like it did because you hate DG.
DG is not a snobby rich girl house alright? The majority of that house is paying for college through loans like everyone else. I have met more southern money like girls on tri delt or kappa or chi o like the other poster said. DG is just not some elite house you guys stop

I was asked in several houses what my parents did for a living and that didn't bother me one bit. DG asked me how much money they made. They girl I talked to lacked tact and ignored my answer when I told her it didn't matter because I pay my own bills. She kept asking. I bottom raked DG and didn't look back.

I'm shocked by how many people have been asked this tacky question by DG because they are already in SO much trouble with their Nationals, MU Greek Life, Panhellenic, etc. for so many other things! That is just stupid on their part.

You're so gullible.... Obviously they would be in trouble by now if this was actually happening to people. DG doesn't care what your parents do. DG cares about how fun you are to boys. They are desperate to be a hot house. You could be the poorest girl on campus, if you're attractive and boys like you and you can drink like a tank, you're in.
So can we stop acting like this happens to pnms. It's just not believeable at all and most of us are smart enough to know it

That's the thing. That many people HAVEN'T been asked that tacky question by DG. If they had, DG would have gotten caught. I assure you that it hasn't happened, but is just another way of putting DG down. Here's an idea, if you REALLY feel the need to criticize DG (though I don't know why anyone in another house would care), why don't you be a bit more creative and make up something else. Cuz this is getting old.

Chi-O's dues are no higher than they were before because their house was built entirely off alumni donations. Sigma on the other hand has really high dues because there's wasn't.
