You're right -- Comparing taxes, corruption, murder rate,graft, number of governors in jail, and a higher standard of living makes Illinois SO much better. I'll take lower income taxes, lower sales taxes, more services, lower COST of living (our standards are the same, dufus, we all live in the US, it's lower COST of living you need to compare)I'll take Missouri--or for that matter, Texas -- over the global embarrassment that is Illinois.

The "global embarrassment that is Illinois?" Really? If it weren't for the out-of-state tuition this university gets from Illinois, Mizzou wouldn't be on the strong financial footing that it is. Same is true for Texas. This is a wonderful university, but let's be honest. The University of Illinois and the University of Texas are much more difficult to get into and are considered much more elite universities. The kids at this school from Illinois and Texas couldn't get into their home universities, so they came to Mizzou, which is the next best thing. And they are raising the average ACT score and average GPA at this university, plus lining the coffers, which helps make our school better. And Chicago, well, it's the best city in the Midwest and is second only to New York nationally. If you don't believe that, you need to get out more.

While I agree that President Obama is an embarrassment, you do realize that it wasn't Illinois that elect him as president, it was the United States as country that elected him. He is not the President of Illinois, he is the President of the United States.

Wow. That's the only thing you can find in that entire post to pick at? I rest my case, Illinois is a global embarrassment.

I do need to correct my statement, however. Your state had two STATE Senators and two STATE Representatives that went to jail. You also had one US Senator sent to jail. My bad.


But to get back to our question, of course I understand that Obama is the US President. I meant it as in; your CURRENT president FROM Illinois, Obama. And don't play the Lincoln card. That was over 100 years ago. Its' been all downhill since then.

Let me get this straight. There is an actual person on this website who is convinced that Chicago sucks as a city? Really? Really?????? Time to get out of St. Louis, Sweetie, and spend some time expanding your horizons. And take your parents, who probably voted for Todd Akin, with you.
