is greek rank only for pha?

by: Mizzou18

I was hoping to find reviews of all sororities on here but found that reviewers were being very nasty to organizations that aren't pha. I wanted to know why this is? Are greeks only taken serious if they're in pha sororities on campus? If so I don't think I want to be apart of such an elitist group.

Well then don't pledge. Nobody is forcing you to rush and if you don't like what it stands for then don't join.

NPHC does their own thing they do and since it's a relatively small group of people they gossip the old fashioned way, word of mouth. It's a small group of fraternities and sororities and they usually only pledge one or two people every time they have pledging so they don't really have a need for a website like this.

And they're just as elitist as we are, just in a different way. It's Greek life by the way, did you think this was going to be summer camp or something?

The reason we don't know much about NPHC is because it's a very small, very tight knit group who keep to themselves mostly. That being said a friend of mine is in a Zeta Beta and she absolutely loves it.

My opinion, try PHA if PHA rush comes first, not sure if NPHC or PHA does rush first, and see if any of the PHA houses suit you. There are more of them so you might have a better chance of finding where you fit in. And then if PHA doesn't work out then try NPHC out for sure.

Whichever you pick will work out in your favor. There's no wrong choice between the two.

Thanks, pha's is first (I don't think nphc holds a rush week or anything) but like I said rushing as a freshman isn't an option for me. I want my main focus to be on grades and getting a good job in como before I sign up for something I can't otherwise afford. Thanks for your advice!

Glad we could help. Also use this year that you're getting your grades up to make friends in PHA and NPHC houses. It will help your chances if you've got girls on the inside who know you :)

well, based on sheer number of people it makes sense. mizzou is huge so there is alot of people commenting for pha because it is such a large part of student life. other universities that have smaller pha orginizations dont post very much, just like nphc here. its not that people don't care about them there is just less people with something to say
