sorority rankings 2014
by: LogicalIf you truly want a good picture of sorority rankings, I encourage you to take a logical approach. Most people can agree that there are 5 MAJOR portions of Greek Life. Grades, Hoco, GW, RAMS, and Looks/Social. List each house by placing, from 1-15. The only category with any sort of bias is Looks/Social. For GW/Hoco/Rams, not placing will be placed accordingly. The end goal is to have the lowest number possible, like golf. Then you can truly have an unbiased ranking (minus looks).

This is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Who in the world wants an unbiased rating of something that is, by definition, subjective? I know no one in the history of Greek life at Mizzou who ever said, "Gosh I was going to pledge Delta or PiPhi or ChiO because I could relate so well to the girls in the house, but then I saw how well Zeta did in homecoming and I decided that's the house for me." The only factor should be where you feel comfortable and welcomed. End of story.

This is so dumb. Everyone knows that the best houses keep attracting the best girls and it is because the best houses offer the whole package: looks, brains and, most of all, personality. You can do all the listing and averaging and quantum theorem stuff you want, but what the spreadsheet won't tell you is that the best houses -- ChiO, Delta,PiPhi -- have certain qualities that can't be measured. They are like the homecoming queen whose hair may be a bit too curly, whose smile might be crooked and who might use the wrong word in trying to express herself -- but no one holds it against her because she is charming, quirky and everyone wants to be like her and be liked by her.
