If there is a chapter you are interested in joining, do it now. You'll get to be involved in homecoming, new member stuff, fall initiation, etc. with your pledge class.

I wouldn't COB at all. It's a really sketchy way of getting friends into a house. You can sign up for COBing and never get a call. It also is considered discriminatory since women of color are often not given a chance. Plus the houses that COB are the ones with retention issues.
