You can see that those are actually new members, joining that semester. For some reason the Spring 2024 report is callign them that instead of New Members.

some sororities have a program where girls can have reduced fees and involvement while they study abroad or have internships, etc. and those girls are included on associate members. the associate members section really doesn’t tell you much about retention because there’s no way to know how many girls are getting reduced involvement vs girls who were taken as spring bids.

I've heard the same and that's why I'm worried. I feel like PHA is hiding that information. Should I wait for spring rush to get a better idea of where I belong? With the high numbers are they even doing spring rush.

curious pnm definitely don't drop and wait for spring rush. There is no guarantee that chapters will do it, and if they do the spots are very limited. PHA is not hiding information. Who knows, there could be some drama within a specific pledge class (i genuinely have no idea about tridelt) but that isn't going to mean your pledge class will be the same.

so zeta lost 100 members btw fall2023 and spring 2024? that can't be right

Yep. 63.2% retained. And then took 95 through COB (associate members) to end with 267. Remember that's only for one time period, you need to check a few years to see a trend. Also people graduate in December as well as May.

You don't actually seem to be very careful with numbers, you have made errors. People should look for themselves and not trust you on here.

this is true for some houses but not all! some chapters have a program where girls can partially disaffiliate while they go study abroad or work internships, etc. to decrease their dues and involvement. these members are not included on active members, and instead are grouped in with associate members alongside the new bids that were taken as cobs. although what you say is correct for some houses, for others there’s really no way to tell how many girls are temporarily disaffiliated vs how many have dropped.
