tell me about dues.

Out of curiosity do any of you pay your own dues? Or should I just leave that to my parents? And if anyone just finished their first year, would you mind telling me how much you paid as a new member(don't name the house) I just wanna know what to expect ya know. It could be asked at recruitment but I feel like that's a major faux pas

My new member dues were roughly 3000 dollars and I paid that myself. Who pays for your dues is completely between you and your parents financial situations.

It's definitely not faux pas to ask about financial dues during recruitment, it could be a deciding factor on the house you choose. Each house on sisterhood day talks about their dues you're expected to pay.
