are there any sororities that could close?
by: tigerLast year, Tri Sigma was closed shortly after recruitment. Is this common for chapters at mizzou? Are there any other chapters in danger of closing? Is that more of a problem for frats?

No this is not a normal occurrence. Some sororities at mizzou have been here longer than others. Those are the one with stronger alumni networks and more resources for their chapters. Tri sigma didn’t make it because their nationals aren’t great. Their alumni network also did not support the chapter nearly enough. This isn’t the norm at mizzou for chapters that are well established and remain on good terms.

Not a normal thing at all. Tri Sig came on campus in 2009 and really struggled. Every other sorority at mizzou is established with solid finances (at least it appears so). This is much more common with frats because recruitment is so different (informal summer rush) and they're most susceptible to getting in trouble and getting kicked off.

One of the reasons TriSig alums weren't supportive is that they were relatively young, and not as well established in their careers. Contrast that with alums from sororities that have been around more than 100 years. Imagine all the money those geezer women leave to their sorority!
