Best sorority for serious student

by: Nola

I’d like the sorority experience but I’m super serious about school and getting the best grades possible. I was involved in many extracurriculars in high school. Which sororities put grades first? Thank you for your help

I would say piphi, theta, adpi, kappa, and chi o get the top grades! But all the sororities at mizzou have good grades compared to most colleges with Greek life.

Most women in the top houses are extremely well-rounded. They get excellent grades (most have academic scholarships) and are involved on campus. You can't go wrong with PiPhi, ADPi, Theta or ChiO. Just stay away from the houses that don't do grade cuts, because they're the ones with terrible retention and partying priorities.

Pi phi, Theta, ADPi, Chi O, and Kappa were top 5 in grades. It really comes down to you applying yourself which you can do anywhere. If you want to be around likeminded people then those 5 are probably your best bet

Go theta or piphi. Those two are actually what you’re looking for

I would add ADPi to the mix.

The better thing to do is ask the actives during rush about this and explain that your grades are very important to you. Ask what their chapter does to encourage each member in scholarship. It's great that you kept up your grades with a lot of extracurriculars in high school, but college is very different, not as structured as a high school day and you are on your own to time manage. Like what if you have a big test or project coming up and there's a conflict with a sorority function? How is that handled in the chapter?

Also keep in mind that you don't pick your house, the sororities are doing the choosing, so those comments on here saying to go to this house or that house aren't really telling it straight.
