This website is so dumb. Whenever someone tries to say a house is top tier, everyone disagrees and the arguments never go anywhere. For example, a house can "only be top if they win or place in things" yet zeta placed in hoco and everyone still says their bottom even though they're obviously trying. Another example: kappa and theta always wins/places but everyone still says they're not top. I don't get it.
On the other side of things, it could be said that a house can only be top if they are "well-liked" by fraternities (as they will get good/fun pairings) and are somewhat social. Yet sororities like gphi and sometimes delta get flack for being well-liked by frats and are just setting the feminist movement soooo far back because they are pretty and fun and gasp, care about being well-liked by frats.
This website is fun to read but it's honestly annoying how many fights there are about shoving houses into the middle tier

because there just really isnt a tier system. you have your five power houses and then you have everyone else. there is no RANKING. nobody can put their finger on THE top house, because there isnt one. delta isnt stronger than chi o, chi o isnt stronger than delta, pi phi isnt stronger than kappa, kappa isnt stronger than pi phi, theta isnt stronger than gphi, gphi isnt stronger than theta, and you could do that between all of them. they all have their strengths and weaknesses but when you put them all together you get powerhouses. its not a TIER. its just strong houses.
everyone else is also strong and weak in their own ways but they dont just radiate power. there is no top, middle and bottom tier. there are just POWERHOUSES and normal houses.

Couldn't have said it better. Most PNM's try for the power house houses and then ones who don't get into those end up in house they prefer best out of the rest of them. Though we do have two noticeably weaker houses that aren't exactly favored.
