Popularity wise though, they just don't cut it. The real life inherent hierarchy of houses has them sitting right about where they are on this list. This isn't a list about grades or nice girls or whatever, it's about who has power and who doesn't. Who do the frats fight to be with, who do the top sororities like to hang out with, who do girls want to be? So if were speaking on those terms and how we all kind of involuntarily think, this list is dead on.

I have to say, DG isn't popular with other sororities OR frats. I know bottom tier girls who went to beat and sig chis formal last year and there weren't any DGs. Any. And to say KD isn't popular is very very wrong. Because of how nice and friendly they are, tons of people opt in for their philanthropy just as an example. And as far as axo goes, they have average popularity with both sororities and fraternities, but they are super respected. When it comes to competition, axo is picked among the top. I can't say that is true for DG. So in terms of popularity, I do agree DG is no better than the low mid tier houses. Not by a long shot.
Gphi is though. You have to give them that. Id put axo and KD in the 2nd category, bc they both have a ton of respect on campus, and DG in the third category with zeta. They're very very very similar houses after all. Not a bad thing.

Actually there were DGs at those formals because I was there. Also, KD is simply not better than axo and zeta. They are on the same level of desirability as each other.

The op's list is far more accurate than this. This is just you trying to push an agenda and it's obvious. Theta isn't popular, DG should at least be the second category, axo and kd are just blah houses and belong in a section of their own along with zeta. This is just your list not how the majority of Greeks see things.

Theta is in the bottom rankings they are not popular on campus at all. No frats gonna be super excited to party with a bunch of thetas, sorry.

How hard is it for you to understand that a lot of us pledge our houses based on the houses themselves and not what boys think of them? Please go back to high school you insecure twit.

You probably shouldn't have gone Greek then if you don't think men have any bearing on what houses are popular. Also, when did anyone say their self worth was determined by a boy? I have yet to see that be said. You want to get along and be liked by your male counter parts just like males want to join a frat that is known to attract girls. It works both ways and it's human nature. Deal with it.

That is what 85% of Greek life is. Trying to attract the attention of your male or female counterparts. Think of all the socials, the homecoming pairings, the Greek week pairings, the philanthropies we shove down each other's throats. If you're Greek and you don't care about whether or not your house is liked by fraternity men aka your pairings, your philanthropy participants, your social dates then I feel you probably live a very lonely life with very little male interaction. Why do you think tri delt, kappa, pi phi, chi O, DG have such successful philanthropies? Because they get along with boys. Why do you think every guy wants to go to tri phi and Monmouth? Because those houses get along with boys. Why does everyone wanna pair with tri delt, kappa, chi o, pi phi, gphi and DG? Because they are good with boys. If you honestly believe the opinions of these men don't matter because you are just soooo independent and womanly, then screw you. You aren't better than anyone. Welcome to Greek life, where frats WANT to be liked by sororities to be popular and sororities WANT to be likes by frats to be popular. Determining popularity based on whether frats like you isn't degrading like you're all acting like it is. If you're only liked because you can't keep your legs closed, that's one thing. But if you're genuinely liked by men because you're fun and easy to be around and don't always have a stick up your ass that's a completely different thing.

85%? Then I'm proud to be in the 15%. I am in a consensus top tier house and we all get plenty of attention from guys, but that's not why I joined my sorority. I joined because the women I met during rush were like-minded and well-rounded. There's more to life than popularity. Guys come and go but sisters are forever.

Haha DG is NOT a top pick for competitions. Try absolute last. What good frat have they been paired with recently? Oh right. No one. Weren't they paired with phi delt or something for HC? Yeah, that's bottom of the barrel frat right there. Nice try Dg. I know it sucks that you went from being a top and desirable house almost a decade ago, and now you have to suffer with being with the lowly bottom tier houses, but no frat wants to be paired with you. No top frat even invites you to parties anymore. You know it's sad when a new house, like SK is getting invited to phi kapp parties and not a single Dg is there. DG is one of the LEAST popular houses at Mizzou bc of their piss poor attitudes, their super inflated egos based on hot air, and of course all those scandals that everyone frowns upon. Face it. DG is nothing but a washed up B lister. Not a first pick, and barely better or tolerable than being with the last picks.

Some of us were raised right by our mothers and taught we have more value than what men think of us. My mother taught me that being smart, funny and independent were the most important things because looks fade.

I guess DG is just a house full of bottle blondes on a ticking clock. They certainly aren't funny, just look at their last skit for a competition, they certainly aren't smart, you can look at their grades for that, and they certainly aren't independent because they put so much focus on what men think of them.

And if you're going to try and claim being popular and pretty is all that matters then you need to be the most popular and pretty house on campus. Which you're not. You're the last round pick for 2 am hookups DG, accept it and shut up.
