greek rank ranks vs. real life
by: HERE
On greek rank, the ranks typically look like this, which is stupid and not how it really works:
Delta
Chi O
Pi Phi
Kappa
Theta
Adpi
Gphi
Aphi
AXO
DG
KD
Zeta
Sigma Kappa
Phi Mu
Sigma
In real life, these are the most popular houses and if theyre on the same line, they are probably literally right on the exact same level of desirability during recruitment AND during the year combined, no if, ands or buts about it. This is it:
1.) PIPHI/DELTA/GPHI/KAPPA/CHIO/DG: they have their differences but they all have the most attractive members, the most fun, frats love them and their members are usually friends with each other. If you ended up in one of these houses, you probably couldve fit in with at least 2 or 3 of the other 5 as well.
2.) THETA/ADPI/APHI: Respected. not bad, you dont hear much about them but you definitely wouldnt mind being one of them.
3.) AXO/ZETA/KD: You really dont hear about them but they arent bad. just kind of there.
4.) PHI MU/SIGMA/SIGMA KAPPA: Youre in one of these because you just wanted to be Greek and have a sisterhood, which is totally fine.
This, my friends, is how greek life actually is.

The third category doesn't even make sense. Axo is a very respectful house. KD has always been a decent house to join too. Lately they've suffer some hits based on looks, but ghey have no problems with getting girls to join and to be social with other houses. I would get rid of that third category all together.

Enough is enough. Not a single person agrees with this list because it's far from accurate.
Most popular houses: chi o, kappa, pi phi, delta, theta, Gphi
Next popular: adpi, aphi, axo, kd
Least popular: dg, zeta, sigma, phi mu, sk
First category: all put on a good rush, all are well liked
Second category: they're respectable houses to join, girls are proud of being in these houses, and they offer many different ways to socialize with other greeks
Third category: most of these houses are unable to overcome negative stigma associated with the house, some try to hard to get attention, or some seem to have drama wherever they go (and therefore no one really wants to associate with them). Not bad houses by any means, just aren't the popular girls in general.

Little did I know I have entered a time capsule that has propelled me back to 1967. That must be why so many women are judging their sorority's worth on how popular it is with boys, and why living up to your own potential in your own right is something only a "giant house of radical feminists" would condone. Glad to know so many sorority women think this way because it will make it that much easier for me to rise to the top, get great grades and land a great job.

Popularity wise though, they just don't cut it. The real life inherent hierarchy of houses has them sitting right about where they are on this list. This isn't a list about grades or nice girls or whatever, it's about who has power and who doesn't. Who do the frats fight to be with, who do the top sororities like to hang out with, who do girls want to be? So if were speaking on those terms and how we all kind of involuntarily think, this list is dead on.
