COB responses and recruitment process
by: cob girlie
I’m a freshman interested in COB to get more involved in campus greek life. I’ve filled out a few spring COB interest forms, and I was wondering how long it usually takes for someone to get back about those or reach out?
Also, any general information or advice about the COB process would be super helpful!!

COBing is a very flawed process. It can be discriminatory, too. You might never hear back from anyone. That's because the houses that routinely COB are mainly looking to find someone to help pay the bills, and so they just consider friends of current members because it requires little effort. Your best bet is to go through formal recruitment. Then you will get to see most of the houses, see where you feel most comfortable and join with a pledge class where you are all in the same situation rather than trying to fit in with a group of women who already have found their cliques.
