How to make friends outside of my sorority?

I don’t live in a freshman dorm bc of health reasons I’m in an upperclassman one so other than my sorority I haven’t really met anyone. I want to make friends outside of it but I feel like people aren’t really open to that and have their groups already. I’m not sure what to do

Exactly why is a freshman dorm less healthy than one that houses older students?

It was where the school put me I think the ADA rooms in freshman dorms were just full
