Lots of wishful thinking from a tired old alum of a mediocre house who wrote ^^^. First of all, it's recruitment, not rush. It hasn't been "rush" in a long time. Second, there are top houses, and not-so-top houses. Everyone knows this. The top houses get exactly who they want. The others take who is leftover. Those who are leftover can be wonderful women who make great friends and contribute to a strong sisterhood, but they might not have survived grade cuts (not all houses have grade cuts) or leadership or outstanding activities. Third, one of the major differences between top houses and the others is that top houses often don't COB or if they do they take just a few women, whereas other houses have poor retention and are COBing all the time. Constant COBing also can be a reflection of a house's financial stability. So go into recruitment with an open mind, but don't let anyone tell you there isn't a heirarchy of houses. You will realize which are the top houses as soon as recruitment begins.
