5th.... who placed fifth?
And at the end of the day, I think this matters more for the boys with hoco courting around the corner than it does the girls. This was an off year for GW.

Alpha Phi got 5th. Interesting no placing from Chi O or Theta...
before this, they were even with their placement #'s of the last three semesters. Which means they're still even. But can we even say one of those is a top house without any placement in GW...?
Also, the lack of Pi Phis placement is 1 not only surprising, but 2 sad. Their ENTIRE HOUSE has not placed in hoco or gw, since they haven't since before the seniors.

it wasnt off, it showed who cares and who doesnt. you shouldnt give up just because your pairing isnt ideal. gotta put the team on your back. Nice job to Kappa for proving to us they can do that.

I was really impressed with the efforts (whether you placed or not) of houses that typically get ragged on here. Groups like AXO, Phi Mu, KD, Alpha Phi, DG, SK really pulled it together and had some impressive moments or total victories this year, which is really nice. I loved seeing some different houses get much deserved recognition, especially since most of these are either often overlooked or talked about poorly. Honestly congrats to everyone in these houses especially, your hard work was evident.

Axo placing did not come out of nowhere. They are a big hoco house and have placed in GW every so often. They had a good pairing and no one took them seriously, but I'm not sure why. After adpi dropped out, this was the pairing that scared me the most. They placed high in everything across the board. Like everyone knows, you don't have to win a bunch of categories to place, just place high enough where it counts. Axo does this really well every year with this strategy. I'm not surprised at all that they placed. Congrats.

Really the only random house was delta. And apparently chi o and theta are extremely mad about it. Get over yourselves ladies.

People always managed to forget that Alpha Phi consistently places towards the bottom of the top five in GW. Just like people always seem to forget that Delta always places top five in grades.
It's because this website loves propping up houses like Theta and Chi-O while diminishing the efforts of houses like AXO/APhi or Delta. Maybe it's because they realize that if PNM's find out you can join a house that's pretty AND smart like Delta, or well rounded and nice like AXO, or friendly and pretty like APhi, that nobody would join their overrated houses.

I can't believe they won again but they deserved it. As did all the other houses that placed, regardless of if this was an "off" year or not.
