What about girls who start out with good houses

I made the mistake of being too confident. I was asked back to a lot of really good houses after open house. I’ll admit to being a little nerdy and awkward but I look good so I cut Zeta, AXO, KD and APhi. Then I got cut by all the good houses and ended up with 2 very bottom houses on Pref day so I dropped. Lesson learned - don’t be too confident if you really know yourself

You could always try again in the fall! This time you’re better informed and hopefully by now you know women in all houses you’ve met in classes or living in the same building!

I think the lesson learned here is that if you know you wouldn’t accept a bid from a specific house, that should be the one you cut.

No, "Kimmy". Zeta, AXO, KD and APhi cut you. You did not cut them. What you're talking about is not your confidence, it's your arrogance. I'd bet that your second time rushing would be even worse now that people have gotten to know you.
