So, we have a bunch of bottom feeders calling PiPhi out for winning a bunch of events. So, let me get this straight. When a top tier house doesn't try they are an embarrassment. And when they do try and do well, it doesn't matter anyway because the rest of the top tier houses aren't on top, too? I guess that makes sense in someone's world, but the way I see it, the resentment factor is at work here. That's OK. Pi Phi and Delta and ChiO will make it up on the quadrangle next August when their babies are revealed. And then NO ONE will be talking about Greek Week, much less how well some of the top tier or lower tier houses did because, as a previous poster said, when it comes to recruitment GREEK WEEK DOESN'T MATTER.

There were no Pi Phis at any basketball games. GPhi forfeited the 3rd place game...really?! Like, come on girls. And GW may matter to houses that are trying to move up in the Greek system, like AXO and Phi Mu. During rush, several PNMs asked me about Homecoming and GW actually.

True. Top houses will be top whether they place or not. They're too for many different reasons, not just ability to place in competitions. But if a middle or low tier house places, then people talk. And when those houses place consistently, people start taking then more seriously. Think about it. Aphi has recently starred to place. They're already attractive and fun, now they can solidify their ranking with involvement too. Same with axo. They have been known as a hard working house that places in homecoming more often than not. After succeeding in competitions and grades, they got better looking pcs and solidified their spot in mid tier. These houses have to work twice as hard to be noticed. If they didn't brag about placing, they would fade into the background during rush and all the pnms would pref other houses. Competitions are very important for houses that are working to improve their chapter. When top houses win, no one cares because they're expected to do well and place. When a lower ranked house places, people notice.
