rush advice

My number one piece of advice is to rush the house you like the best.
Not the most popular house.
Not top tier just because it's top tier.
Not your legacy house just because you're a legacy.
My friend rushed and was your typical perfect PNM. Every house was fighting for her and she ended up pledging a house that was considered better even though she liked the girls in the lower tier house more. And she ended up dropping and transferring schools. I can only imagine how things might've turned out if she went with her heart and not with the whispers during rush.
If you genuinely like Theta more than Kappa Delta, then pledge Theta.
If you can't stand Phi Mu and you love Pi Phi, pledge Pi Phi.
If you're a legacy to Delta and you love Delta, pledge Delta.
If you don't think being greek is for you, don't pledge at all.
I understand that things are a bit up in the air on whether you'll get called back to certain houses or not but DO NOT be the girl who gets a schedule without her favorite house on it and then just give up. Don't be the girl who says-
"Well now that I can't be a Chi Omega, I'll just pledge the next best house."
DO NOT BE THAT GIRL.
Pick the house that speaks to your heart.
Pick the house that feels like home.
That is all.

Well, considering your post is all over the place and that it makes sense only to you, perhaps you could tell us exactly what the F you are trying to say. Perhaps you are not aware that it is the sororities doing the choosing. Yes, they choose from the pool of girls who likely want that house, but the final decision is made by the officers in the big colonial houses in Greektown, not the little freshmen-to-be wringing their hands in the dorm. If you want to be Greek, keep in mind that everyone puts on a show during rush and every house presents itself in the most positive light. Rush doesn't provide much of a clue about what sorority life is REALLY all about. So be the girl you want to be, not the girl someone on this cheesey website says you should be.

WE know this stuff because we're already greek. Don't act like what other PNMs were saying during rush didn't affect you a little when you were eighteen and new to this school. All the rumors about hazing that aren't true, all the stereotypes. The mocking of other girls when they said they might like a house not considered popular.
Why are you being such a curmudgeon? Friendly reminders and advice for all the incoming freshmen reading this website is a good thing.

She's saying don't pref a house first just because they're the "best" house, pick the house you like the BEST. And if you like a top tier house best, then there's no shame in that.
But if you like a bottom tier house, don't be shamed into not preffing because they aren't considered cool.
