how does formal fraternity rush work?

GPA isn't really considered. If you have above a 3.0 and a 24 on your ACT you will be fine. A lot of houses don't hand out many bids during formal. I did it last year and personally I thought it was a waste of money. But if you do not know anyone going to Mizzou, it could help. It's also a good way to see all the houses you are interested in. Also, don't take what this website says seriously when you are deciding a house.

I did formal last year and was able to either get a bid or continue rushing cards from all of my top houses. If you have a decent gpa and act you will be fine unless you want to join a Beta type of house. Also, if you have friends in other frats or sororities get their take on which houses are popular. This site is a lot of self ranking or jealous guys from other houses trying to make good houses look bad.
