My sis rushed in 2006 and this is what the houses were ranked then:
TOP
Delta
DG - oh wow this house sunk anchor!
Chi O
ADPi
MID (all really interchangable):
Kappa
Theta
Pi Phi
GPhi
BOTTOM:
APhi - the next couples years APhi moved to mid tier
KD
AXO
Zeta
Phi Mu
Just goes to show you that yes, there have been some significant changes over the years, but overall it looks pretty similar.

ChiO has not always been a top house. When my mother was here in the '70s ChiO was average, as was Tri Delt. Top tier included PiPhi and Theta and maybe Kappa, mid-tier included DG, ADPi, Delta and maybe ChiO, and bottom tier was Zeta, APhi, SK (till it folded the first time) and AGD. Did I miss anyone?

Well, my mom was a Chi O in the 70's, and she says it was a top house then, too. KD was here in the 70's. My mom says they were bottom tier then, and that's when the house was NEW.

My mom was a Chi-O here in the 80's and she agrees that Chi-O was solid middle tier then, sort of like AXO is now.

Did they have nationals come in? I just don't understand how you go from being a house that is unpopular and about ready to close, to a house full of beautiful girls like that. Although, this Cinderella story really should give hope to some of our chapters that have been struggling. Aphi is top of upper mid tier! What a comeback!

They didn't want to close the chapter because it's a single-letter chapter with a long history at Mizzou. So they did what APhi national calls revitalization -- they put all the actives on alumnae status and then recruited a brand-new chapter from the ground up. It was controversial at the time and created a lot of buzz on campus, but it obviously worked.

APhi national did the same thing with struggling chapters at Cornell, Duke, and UVA around the same time. All of them came back strong too.

DGs nationals came in and kicked out a bunch of members the first time they were kicked out of GW. Obviously, the bad eggs they kicked out weren't the only problem with DG if they're still this bad. DG used to be the top 1 or 2 house on campus, what they are today is pathetic.

Chi o has always been a top 3 house here so I'm not sure where you are getting your false information. And theta wasn't top until 2008, and it didn't last long obviously since they're not top now.
