getting dropped doesnt mean its over

I am a current member of a selective house on campus. while the recruitment process was cut throat last year, it is even more competitive this year. I was thankful to make it into the house i wanted on bid day, but some of my absolute BEST friends in my chapter got in through the snap bid and COB process. if you get dropped from recruitment, or dont have any houses that feel like home, talk to your pi chi about snap bids and COB. i recommend reaching out to your desired chapter/s on bid day, through Instagram DM (either official account, or director of recruitment). Express your interest, sell yourself but keep it sweet. They have info on you already, and most chapters are looking to take more girls immediately after bid day to get numbers up. this doesnt mean you are just a number- bc I can honestly say without my friends who joined my chapter through the snap bid process, I would not be here today. recruitment is a numbers game, and amazing girls get cut all the time, sometimes for things they have no control over. just wanted to write this so you all know there are other options. and you will find your home somewhere. be open to it and dont give up <3
