good smaller fraternities?

by: Rush

I'm looking to rush next year as a sophomore, but I'm not really sure where to start. I know I want to be in a smaller fraternity (like under 70 guys.) Can you guys name some I should start checking out and your opinions on them?

AKL is pretty small too and they all seem really close... Again, their downfall (like TKE) is that they don't have a house yet since they're new...

And they were part of the winning HC team this year so if that kind of stuff is important to you

AKL is a joke. If you want nobody to know about you then go for it I guess

TKE guys are always on here trying to get rushes. It is starting to get comical.

I absolutely ADORE Acacia. They are small, right off frat row, and have a house. The guys are sweet, good personalities, they let girls play their playstation in their basement so they hold a special place in our hearts. haha

It hardly matters how many guys are in a house. What is important is how large your pledge class is and how well you get along. I wouldn't specifically look for a small house, just one that recruits well and one where you can feel comfortable. Maybe Beta and SigChi and PhiKap aren't for you, and that's understandable. But there are plenty of houses in the next tier that have a lot to offer and when all is said and done you will be proud to have been a member. Plus, you won't have to worry about a chapter's solvency or whether it willbe around 10 years from now when you want to return for homecoming, or 20 years from now when you want to show your son where you lived.

Delta Chi and SAE are starting to become bigger, but they're worth looking at too!
