legacy

How much is a legacy important when rushing a fraternity? Do some house give more consideration to legacy guys?

Speaking from personal experience - yes and no. Look at it this way being a legacy can help you get in the door of the Fraternity, but being a legacy does not guarantee that you get to stay in the house. You still have to earn your spot in the chapter.

on the same note, not being a legacy won't kill your chances if you're the sort of guy a fraternity likes to recruit. legacy status is more a way to get your foot in the door but it won't guarantee you a bid. it doesn't mean as much in fraternity life as it does for the girls
