by: llllloooolllllllOK. Ordinarily GreekRankers get all hot and bothered when girls defend their own sorority or protest some post about their house that's unfair. Well, here's you chance to boast legitimately without having to pretend you're in another house, which is really great news for Kappa (LOL). Anyway, tell us what's best about your own house and why it's great. I'll start. I'm an Alpha Phi and I love the pride that we take in our house. We love wearing our letters and we love to be who we are without obsessing about what others think of us. We're not the best, we're not the worst, we're just good friends and we know we can depend on one another.

This was a really great idea until you took a swing at Kappa but I'll follow suit.
I'm a Tri-Sigma and unlike the stigma here of girls only joining because they don't have another choice, I joined because I'm a legacy and I felt comfortable here. My sisters although not considered the prettiest are some of the nicest girls here and I feel like because we're not attempting to jump tiers we have some of the least catty girls on campus. We know we're not the best house but sisterhood matters more to us than anything else, including bringing other houses down.

I'll bite. I'm a Theta and we have this reputation of only caring about grades. It's true we are serious about doing well and try to keep our GPAs up, but it's not as if we spend all night every night studying until our eyes glaze over. I would venture to say we have as strong a sisterhood as any other house and have a lot of fun whenever we get together, whether for some sort of function or just hanging out. I guess what I'm trying to say is that while we may be a little more serious than some other houses, we still know how to have a really good time so don't just believe the stereotype.

I had theta friends on fb literally make a HUGE deal about grades and taking shots at Chi O when they placed 1st a few semesters back. class - less.

You managed to take a thread dedicated to bragging on your house and being able to mention positives and attack another house. Take your negativity elsewhere.

This is a cool idea! I’m a SK, and I love the fact that my house is new. I know some hold it against us, but I like the idea that we get to create our own reputation, and I love what we’ve done so far. I love how I’m part of a house full of all kinds of girls! There’s people to go out with, and people to stay in with on weekends and watch something like Sherlock which is awesome! I think this thread is a great idea. I hope more people comment, I love getting to hear about the other houses! =)

Actually, I am a Kappa. And I didn't say we WERE all over this website, I said we MAY be all over this website. I can't possibly know whether we are, and no one else can, either. So unless the previous poster monitors every single sorority girl's computer activity every single minute of every single day, I suggest she STFU. And I stand by what I said. We are a fine house and we stick together.

OK. Let's get back to the original subject. I'm a Delta and I just laugh when people say we are one-dimensional. When I look at the other girls in my house I couldn't be prouder. We are a strong sisterhood made up of girls who have achieved a lot. Anyone who looks at us and thinks Delta is just about looks quite simply doesn't know what she is talking about. And clearly they haven't spend even a minute with us during rush when we so meticulously and conscientiously choose who our next members will be.

I'm a Kappa and my roommate went Theta and yes, while she does study a bit harder than most I've met she still gets out and has a social life! I think that both of our houses have a reputation for being boring and too serious but trust me when I say that I'm out there with the best of them, singing my heart out at Piano Bar and taking advantage of drink specials at Field House. I just know when I personally need to buckle down and study harder and I know Thetas are the same way.
