Questions about APHI

I had my heart set on Alpha Phi but I’ve been hearing so many bad things about them. I heard that they don’t have a good reputation and that they bid on girls who got dropped from rush. I also heard it’s the “mean but pretty” girls. Idk. Can anyone clarify

like this comment said. but u have to remember that you could most likely find this in almost every house. what really matters is following your heart and not relying on what other people are saying. wait to go through recruitment before deciding where you had the beat conversations.

it’s a little early to “have your heart set” on any sorority.. obviously everyone is different but unless you already have a lot of friends in a certain chapter you should not be dead set on any house. please keep your mind open to other house it’ll work out for you in the long run

personally i think they’re awesome and i have tons of friends in aphi who are legit my favorite people ever and all girls i’ve met there are honestly really nice and genuine, i wouldn’t rely on reputations lots of people like to talk ab other sororities for lots of reasons, just focus on your conversations and not what you hear :)

"I have my heart set on APhi" said no one, ever, in the history of recruitment. If you value your education, don't join APhi. It's a house with no academic standards whatsoever. As a result, people just keep failing and leaving school.

Hon, Alpha Phi doesn't drop anyone after first round. They are lucky to make quote, and sometimes they don't.

Except some houses, like Alpha Phi, have to do it with snap bids.

i had a friend that got dropped from rush for having a 2.5 gpa and she got a snap bid from them on bid day so there is some truth to that and also to the mean but pretty and bad rep lol

Giving a snap bid to someone with a 2.5 gpa says it all. If you care about your grades, stay away from APhi.

Check the stats on how many girls ending up dropping Aphi, not very impressive. Low academics, sketchy reputation, not that any sorority is perfect but Aphi here has a history of imperfection.
