1. Chi O - Easily our top house here. They excel in all categories. People may not think they're the most attractive, but they do have a fair share of gorgeous girls.
2. Delta - I don't get why people want to knock Delta down. They are consistently ranked in top 5 for grades and have the most popular philanthropy on campus. They could be more involved, but there are other houses in top tier that fall short in that category too.
3. Pi Phi - This is the so-so house that really stepped up their recruitment game in the past couple years and soared to the top. Again, this is a house that lacks in involvement, but they make up for it other ways.
4. Kappa - Kappa is just a well-rounded house here. They're only below Pi Phi because Kappa isn't quite as social and while they have pretty members, not as many as pi phi
5. Theta - Theta sneaks into top tier but this is a teeter-totter house between top and mid. They excel in academics and involvement, but many girls in their sisterhood lack the fun-loving carefree attitudes you're supposed to have in college. These girls need to let their hair down a live a little!

I agree that each tier should have roughly the same number of houses, but I also agree that Theta barely sneaks in. In my opinion, Theta is too one-dimensional. Their emphasis is on grades and that would be fine, except very often they aren't tops in grades. So that sort of negates their raison d'etre. I think a case can be made for ADPi being in the top tier. They are a diverse house, they have high standards for grades (but that isn't just who they are), there are lots of pretty girls, lots of athletic girls and lots of fun-loving girls. They don't take themselves too seriously, which adds to the appeal.

Kappa shouldn't even be listed in top tier. Grades aren't that great, retention falling, girls aren't very social. They LIVE on this site! . Tell me? What do they have going for them?

Why does it bug you so much that they are a good well rounded house with no extreme downfall which makes them top. Is that really that unsettling to you? Is it unsettling that they probably don't actually "live" on this site but people actually like them and defend them and nobody wants to defend your house? Idk. Just stop

Y'all are getting so upset over a freaking ranking. Whether they are on here or not doesn't change their status in the Greek system. Just because a few of YOU don't think they are top doesn't mean the rest of Greeks don't. The 12 of you who get on this website don't just call the shots on who is top and who is not. I don't think delta should be top and they also love this website, but they are. I don't think chi o should be considered the best, but everyone else does. Just because you're annoyed because you think kappa is on here promoting themselves doesn't make them no longer top tier. It's what they actually do in real life that makes them top and there is no denying they are one of the most well rounded houses. And just because you don't think they are because you don't like them is not gonna make them any worse.

That's the point, ins't it? Kappa is all over this site boasting about how they are top tier and protesting whenever anyone says they aren't. But what anyone SAYS doesn't matter. What matters is what they present to the Greek community and whether they are a top choice by girls going through rush. And, quite simply, they aren't.

There are many reasons Kappa doesn't belong in the top tier. Their grades aren't that great (last year at this time they were 6th, and their new members were 7th), they don't do particularly well in Greek competitions, they have some really attractive girls but most are just average compared to other top tier houses and, most important, the majority of women in the house did not have Kappa as their first choice. That pretty much says it right there: even Kappa's members wanted to do better. That's not a top tier house.

As a girl in a house that is considered top tier for competing well I'm wondering too because Kappa is always a contender and we fight extra hard to try and beat them every year along with Theta.

I'm pretty sure a lot of deltas girls didn't pref delta first because I'm friends with a lot of them and they've told me delta was not their first choice. I'm just sayin. If you wanna attack a house for not having members who preffed them first we should also consider the fact that there are other "top tier" houses that many girls didn't pref first either.... Deltas even have complained they have lost more members to gphi they never thought they'd lose in the past few years because gphi puts on a better rush than delta. And I came to this post to say that I don't think delta should be top not to argue about kappa like it appears this post has become... I'm indifferent with kappa. Don't know much about them I just don't like delta.

what really bugs me about some of you on here is how mean you get if you think a member of any house is defending their house. sure it can be annoying, but just keep your thoughts to yourself. If youre gonna sit there and call people out on being defensive then you better make sure you arent defending your house either when you see false information. You know its annoying to see stuff like that about your house. It takes a lot to read rude, made up crap about your house and just not say anything because everyone knows PNMs are reading this and we all want the best PC. Dont sit here and say nobody likes kappa and nobody wants to be there because you know thats not true. Stop throwing shi.t to the wall to see what sticks. Your pathetic attempt to make everyone else hate them just because you do is making you look even worse than the house you're trying to belittle for defending themselves, if it even is them at all because lets be honest, you dont have proof of that either.

I'm thinking back and honestly can't remember ever reading that Theta, Delta, ChiO, PiPhi, ADPi and a bunch of others are crazy. I'm thinking OMG is just one of those crazy Kappas who can't let it go. Truly, do yourself a favor and spend more time with your friends, more time at the library, more time volunteering or more time satisfying yourself or your boyfriend instead of replying to every negative Kappa post. If not, YOU are the problem.

A top house doesn't need to defend itself. End of story. And to the Kappa who is portraying herself as an ADPi, that's jut not cool.

Despite the stigma of Delta only having pretty girls they get top five in grades all the time and they beat Kappa in grades most semesters. I think Delta is below Pi Phi but certainly above Kappa.
