house rivals?!

So what houses are typically rivals of each other? heres what i think:
CHI O/THETA/ADPI--all suuuper competitive, they take that super involved, presentable, enthusiastic girl. All very smart! These are the girls we will probably all be working for one day. ADPi is the weaker of the bunch but nevertheless a selective house.
KAPPA/PIPHI- I know for a fact these two compete for the same girls during recruitment! They both usually try to recruit prettier girls with classy personalities. Both consistently smart and well liked by most! Pi Phi has harder grade cuts but aside from that very similar!
DELTA/GPHI-- They really just love the hot girls! Typically look for super fun personalities. Not overly competitive with anything, but they definitely lose girls primarily to each other during recruitment. If you dont go GPhi your probably went Delta and vice versa! Many would argue Delta is the classier, more difficult house to get into though.
APHI/DG--I know these two compete. Theres no way of telling who the stronger house is here. Many would say APhi but some would still argue DG. They tend to recruit fun, cute/hot, carefree party girls. Both really popular with frats and are making strides to get more involved!
AXO/KD-- They are both so sweet. Both usually have very good grades and make huge efforts to be involved on campus. Just nice girls here to be as involved as possible in greek life, not worry about tiers and status. They do really well.

ZETA/SIGMA/PHI MU/SK-- They all kind of compete with each other! There is NOTHING wrong with any of these houses but they each kind of compete to get a high number of girls in their PC. Fantastic houses with plenty to offer.

In my opinion Kappa is not near as pretty or social as PiPhi. They are more like ChiO/ Theta in that area. Also, Kappa is kind of a wannabe house. When I was Invovled with rush, I found that the girls who end up in Kappa rarely have this house listed as first choice. (Those girls would have rather been PiPhi, Theta or ChiO). I am not saying they aren't a top house, it is just during rush they are generally not anyone's top choice. Kappa always tries to compare themselves with PiPhi but they are more of a mix of Theta, ChiO and PiPhi.

If a house is a mix of chi o, theta and pi phi, I would like to be in that house. That sounds like a damn good mixture of houses lol. Very well rounded.

I find kappa and pi phi to be equal in looks. Maybe 4 or 5 years ago things were different but to be honest the girls coming out of kappa look the same as the ones coming out of pi phi. Both very classic, both very pretty. I will agree pi phi is a little more easy going when it comes to partying though.

Chi O is what ADPi wants to be. Pi Phi is what Kappa wants to be. Delta is what GPhi wants to be. That's why ADPi, Kappa and GPhi are mid-tier and ChiO, Delta and PiPhi are upper tier. If any of these three could do a better job of establishing its own identity, they could be closer to top tier. (ADPi is close because in addition to be smart they also are athletic)

I wouldn't say kappa is trying to become someone else's house. They aren't as strange as pi phi. They don't want to be like them. The op is just stating they tend to look for the same types of girls. I do know many girls who had pi phi and kappa first and second on bid day. Just because they tend to recruit similar girls doesn't mean they WANT to be another house that's just silly. Everyone wants to be different. Same with gphi and delta or adpi and chi o

I know Kappa is all over this site and I know they get very defensive, but, still, I'm just going to say what we know is true. If it weren't for Kappa boasting about how it is upper tier NO ONE ELSE would think that. I think what Kappa would like most of all is a pledge class made up of girls who actually want to be in that house first and foremost. It's not a bad house and the girls actually have a lot to offer. But let's be honest, most of them on bid day would rather be standing at the columns behind a sign that says "Chi O," "Delta," "Pi Phi" or "Theta."

I will tell you right now, I am not a kappa, but i am still luckily a "top tier" house, and I'm just wandering since I really still like kappa and did actually pref them first but was cut and I'm not ashamed to admit that, can you back up your facts that nobody wanted to be in kappa? Where exactly are you getting your facts that nobody preffed them first, because it's kinda insulting to the ones who did and got cut. Your strange obsession with trying to call kappa out on a childish website anytime someone backs them up or says something nice about them (because trust me, there are girls not in kappa who do like kappa) is getting very irritating and I think you would do better to just not say anything at all. If you think it's a middle tier house, then you can think that, but the majority of real life Greek town finds kappa to be a top 4 or 5 house. You don't have to like them, you don't have to think that there are girls who want to be there in there, but keep your assumptions to yourself because quite frankly you're not going to change anyone's opinion about kappa or any other house you try to put down.

Well I ended up a Chi O and I've always thought kappa was one of our better houses....... I didn't need any convincing of it on greek rank they prove themselves. So you're obviously just a bitter upper mid house that wants to tear them off top so you can be there. Not gonna happen.

Glad someone else is recognizing how kappa lives on here. I guess this is what they do for fun since they aren't out socializing!
