cob faq
by: GreekGal
I figured we should put all the COB comments and questions on this board so we have one central location for all things COB. Here's the lowdown on COBing from what I know/what I have read on this website.
SK, Sigma, Zeta and Phi Mu are COBing for sure. Phi Mu tables in the student center, you can get info there.
You can get into contact with SK for COBing by emailing skmucmc@gmail.com, their CMC is named Molly.
AXO, APhi, DG, and ADPi are rumored to be COBing but not that many girls.
The higher your GPA, the better your chances but if you have below a 3.0 then you might wanna consider raising it and rushing in the Fall.
COB starts the moment we get back through February so be sure to start emailing houses/talking to girls you know if houses you're interested in right now.
If anybody else knows anything or if any PNMs have questions then I vote we keep them on this board. So people don't have to keep fishing for answers.

Hey everyone!
I have to be honest, before this school year I knew nothing about Greek Life or anything and after I chose not to rush I began realizing how beneficial being part of the Greek system could be. As a new freshman I'd randomly browse this sight to see what was going on in Greek Life amongst the sororities (And I'm not ashamed to admit it!). I have to admit that I really was turned off by the amount of cattiness and harsh commend among some girls. At the end of the day, you're all Greek with a common goal, right? I abandoned the site for the remainder of my first semester but started visiting it again when I considered COBing and I have to say you guys have completely changed my outlook!! To see girls of different sisterhoods coming together to promote one common cause made me so happy and confident that I being Greek was something I wanted and could find a home in. I start COB events soon and just want to thank everyone for all of the advice and encouraging words and their constant effort to uplift one another no matter what house you're fr!! It's refreshing and while I do hope to find a home this semester, I can honestly say that I won't regret my decision to pursue Greek life regardless of what happens, and it's all because of your guys' help and encouragement. Thanks so much :)

Such interest in COBing. That's great to see. My house doesn't COB, but I can tell you that being Greek is one of the best things about life at Mizzou. And it's true, even the worst house at Mizzou is better than top houses just about anywhere else. I talked with so many of my friends at other schools over break and their Greek systems are a mere shadow of ours. Good luck to all of you and I truly hope you find your place in the Greek community. There is nothing like it!
