When do sororities COB? I know that COB events aren't the same at every chapter but what are some "typical" events? And How many events do you usually go to until you get a bid card?

February is when Phi Mu usually tables so I'd assume around that time. It's pretty much right when we get back, I assume so the new girls can get pledged and participate in Greek Week. And I know Phi Mu did an ice cream social last year!

We usually have the PNMs go out to dinner/ice cream with our rush chair and a couple actives. Or if we have one of our sisterhood crafting events they might turn it into a COB event as well and invite some girls.

It varies by house but COB events are pretty relaxed, a little more informal. But that doesn't mean you should be lazy. Still put your best foot forward because it's harder to COB when the houses only have a certain number of spots!

Last year SK did coffee dates and sort of had a one on one interview/casual chat with girls who were interested and then picked girls based off that. Sort of like a mini recruitment round to see what a potential PNM offered their house. My old roommate pledged SK last spring and she said it was pretty relaxed but still very obvious they were looking for girls with potential. PLus she had to know somebody in the house in order to get an invite to the coffee date. They might do it the same way this year.

Aphi cobs more like formal recruitment. At least that's how it was when I cobed there. It was just like formal recruitment.
