Rushing in the fall as a freshman

Recruitment is extremely competitive and most girls do not get their top picks. As the week goes on, more and more women drop out because their favorite houses don't ask them back. To truly prepare for recruitment, ask yourself if you want to be in a specific house or if you want to be part of Greek life. If you go in expecting to be in just one house, you likely will be disappointed. But there are many good houses and if you adjust your thinking you can find a place in the Greek system. The top houses (ChiO, PiPhi, Theta, ADPi, etc.) get exactly who they want, starting with stellar grades, outstanding activities and leadership and other special athletic or arts-related talents. But the other houses have great sisterhoods, too. So I would say give it a try. You just never know.
