Is it worth it to rush as a sophomore?

by:

I didn’t join a sorority this year for a few reasons. However I kind of want to be included in Greek life. Is it worth it to rush next year or has the ship sailed? Would it be weird if I was in a PC with mostly freshman?

No it’s not, especially these days. The new pledge class will spend a lot of time with the sophomores in house, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get to know people your age and people in your pledge class.

As with anything, you don't know unless you try. Go through recruitment and see for yourself. That's the only way to know what's best for you.

I think it depends, but I’m going to leans towards no for certain houses. Some houses are desperate to boost numbers and will recruit anyone without disclosing that they are struggling financially. Check live-in requirements so you don’t spend junior and/or senior year living in the house.

Not necessarily weird, but it may not be the experience you hoped for. Do research beforehand about each house’s finances and talk to people around campus.
