by: WhatWhat does it mean to "out rush" another house? Like you got the PNMs they wanted or what?
#2 by: A thing
Some houses just have a knack for putting on a great rush. They do all the right things and get the top girls. That's why it is said that they "out rush" other houses. Their pledges wind up being higher quality than those of other houses in their tier. Alpha Phi comes to mind and so do Delta and PiPhi. Houses like Kappa and AXO and even, to a certain extent, ChiO have to work a little harder all year long whereas the houses with a great rush have it made right out of the chute.

I agree. The Fixer Upper has lots of potential, but she might be from a small town or a school where she was not allowed to develop much polish. Once she develops good friendships in the dorm or lives in the house, she sees how it's done and she is smart and savvy enough to step up her game. The best houses can see that potential and will help her blossom. You could also call her a late bloomer.

My house loves Late-Bloomer PNMs. It's so fun watching a girl who is a little uncertain about Greek Life blossom into a stung, confident and beautiful woman. I truly think the right house can turn a shy/wall flower PNM into the best version of herself with the help of friendship and being involved.
